Marian "Libby" Black, 72, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2019.
Marian “Libby” Black was born on November 10, 1946, to the union of James Dudley Hancock and Dorothy Roena Bass in Lancaster, South Carolina.
In her leisure, she enjoyed using her iPad. She also enjoyed Nascar. Her illness prevented her from living her best life, but she still remained hopeful and positive. She loved her children, and she loved her grandchildren with a passion.
Marian departed this life on February 7, 2019. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Terry; parents and brother, James Hancock.
Marian is survived by her son, Mike Terry; daughters, Mechelle Oxendine and Nita Black; four grandchildren, Sessily Oxendine, Christian Terry, Dharma Issa, and Mia Fischetti; one great-grandchild due in August of this year. Two brothers, Ricky Hancock and Dale Brown; brother-in-law, Ronald Brown; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Ms. Black's life will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Boston's Mortuary 4300 Statesville Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28269.
The Black Family has entrusted her care to Boston's mortuary.
