Lottie Isom Hunter, 90, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019.
Lottie Isom Hunter was born on April 7, 1928, to the union of Vandi and Willie Isom in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Lottie attended school in Rock Hill School System. At an early age, Lottie learned of the teachings of Christ and committed herself to the Living Word of God. She was united with Salem Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a member of the choir and Treasurer of the Caregivers Ministry.
Lottie was employed by Ivey’s Department Store in Uptown Charlotte, where she worked as a cook for 20 years until her retirement.
Lottie was a very handworker. She was loving and kind. She cared very much about her family. She made personal sacrifices to make sure her family’s needs were met, whether it be financial or otherwise.
She took pleasure in helping others. She was a devoted caregiver and would often come to the aid of others who were in need.
Lottie Isom Hunter departed this life on Thursday, March 7, 2019. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Adams, Sr.; her second husband, John Hunter, Sr, and her sons Larry Adams and Andrew Adams;
She leaves to cherish her love and memory children, William Adams, Jr. (Debbie), Deborah Love, and John Hunters, Jr. (Renee); a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Leroy Isom; and other loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A public viewing for Ms. Hunter will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019, from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM, at Boston's Mortuary 4300 Statesville Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28269.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ms. Hunter will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at The Connecting Place at Greater Salem Church 5318 Salem Church Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28216. Interment immediately following service at Oaklawn Cemetery 1615 Oaklawn Avenue, Charlotte, North Carolina 28216.
The Hunter Family has entrusted her care to Boston's Mortuary.
