Frieda Williams Caldwell, 70, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2018.
Mrs. Frieda Williams Caldwell was born June 28, 1947, to Levi and Lizzie Williams of Pineville, North Carolina. She departed this life at her home, to gain victorious union with the Lord, on April 11, 2018, surrounded by her family after an extended illness. Mrs. Caldwell was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Mary, Lizzie, Johnny, Joseph and Carrie.
She joined St. Paul Baptist Church at an early age where she remained throughout her young adult life. Mrs. Williams graduated from Torrence Lytle High School in 1965 and attended Johnson C. Smith University. On April 9, 1966, she married her high school sweetheart, Richard Clement Caldwell. She worked in several professions throughout her life including real estate, cosmetology and early childhood care. She enjoyed taking care of her home and raising their three sons. She loved gardening, traveling, collecting antiques, and the beach.
Surviving to cherish fond memories of Mrs. Caldwell are: her beloved husband, Richard; three sons, Richard O’Patrick (Vanessa) of Winston-Salem, James Wesley of Salisbury, Derrick Steven (Valerie) of Charlotte; a loving sister Joan Miree (Larry) of Bronx, NY; five grandchildren, Kamesha, Christopher, Javaris, Blake, and Josh; six great grandchildren, Laila, Ayvah, Joshua, Carter, Zion and Jacob.
Also cherishing fond memories of Frieda are her sisters-in-law, Claudette, Loretta, Delores, Debra and Shelia; and special nieces, Nancy Williams and Cynthia Wilson, as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A public viewing for Mrs. Caldwell will take place on Sunday, April 15, 2018, from 12:00PM - 6:00PM.
Funeral services for Mrs. Frieda Caldwell will be held at Boston's Mortuary, 4300 Statesville Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28269, on Monday, April 16, 2018. Family visitation will begin at 11:30AM and the funeral service will begin at 12:00PM. Interment will follow at Beatties Ford Memorial Gardens.
The Caldwell Family have entrusted arrangements to Boston's Mortuary
