Evelyn Anderson Robinson, 71, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.
Evelyn Roxanna Anderson Robinson entered this world on June 24, 1947, to the late James Garrett and Magnolia Means Anderson in Charlotte, North Carolina. She departed this life on November 6, 2018, at Presbyterian Hospice and Palliative Care.
Roxanna, as she was affectionately known by family and friends, was raised in Charlotte, NC. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Salem Missionary Baptist Church. She attended the Charlotte Mecklenburg County Public School System; Hoskins Elementary, Woodland Elementary, Plato Price Jr. High, and was a graduate of West Charlotte Sr. High School. Upon graduation, she was employed in various positions. Her most recent employment was with Allstate Insurance Company as a Security Officer.
Roxanna was united in marriage to Samuel Robinson, to this union three children were born. Roxanna was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Margaret A. Ford, and niece, Elizabeth R. Anderson.
Roxanna is survived by her children, Rodney S. Robinson, Vickie M. Forston (Wilfred), and Satonia D. Robinson-Dixon (Brent); eight grandchildren, Donald D. Robinson, Marcus D. Robinson, Britney D. Robinson, Jaylann X. Robinson, Brent A. Dixon, Jr., A-Laysha S. Dixon, Monique R. Love and Jah’Ron E. Love; five great-grandchildren, O’rhian A. Robinson, Corvan G. Robinson, Mo’Riah R. Barber, Ami’yah R. Barber, and Kyla R. Barber; one Goddaughter, Shirenda Ford; brothers, James L. Anderson (Betty), Marcus L. Anderson, and Jacob D. Anderson, Sr. (Louise); sister-in-love, Retha Anderson and brother–in-love, Reverend Eddie E. Ford, Sr.; one aunt, Vernoka Means of Charlotte, NC; one uncle, Dr. Curtis Means (Jean) of Baton Rouge, LA.
She leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, and other relative and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Boston's Mortuary 4300 Statesville Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28269.
The Robinson Family have entrusted her care to Boston's Mortuary.
