Daniel "Man Man" Hugh Dockery, ll, 18, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. 

Daniel H. Dockery, II was born on January 4, 2000, to the union of Daniel Frank and Chiffon Jenlen Dockery in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Daniel received his formal education in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System.   Football was a huge part of Daniel’s life.  Daniel was an advent football player.   Throughout grade school, Daniel had the opportunity to play for many teams and as a result he developed many lasting friendships.  His favorite NFL team was the New Orleans Saints.  In his leisure, Daniel enjoyed playing football, basketball, spending time with his girlfriend, other friends and family.

Two years ago, Daniel experienced one of the greatest loss in his life, his mother. Chiffon J. Dockery passed away on October 14, 2016.  Although losing a loved one is never easy, we know that Daniel is in Chiffon’s loving arms.

Daniel Hugh Dockery, II departed this life on May 30, 2018.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Chiffon J. Dockery; grandmothers, Judith M. Ealey and Effie Greene; uncle, Jack Greene, Jr.; a host of loved ones who are gone but not forgotten.

Daniel is survived by his father, Daniel F. Dockery; brothers, Stefon Griffin and Donovan Dockery; sister, Danelle Dockery; Aunts, Michele Ealey, Nikia (Stephen) Moultrie of Georgia, Felicia Greene of North Carolina, and Tricciana Greene of Virginia; uncle, Calvin Greene of Florida; great-aunts, MA Emma of North Carolina, Minette Smith of New York, Joyce Reed of Georgia; great-uncles, Simon and Vaughn of New York , and Zorro Smith of North Carolina; cousins, Amina, Sherron, Wesely, Jr., Andrew, Zoriah, Chuck, Lance, Jaanai, Rodney, Sabrina, Immanuel, LaTrell, Jacqulyn, Jackie, Macy, Ne’Vaeh, Avery,  Isiaha, Jackson, Jontavius, Angel, and Bethany; and a host of other family and friends.

A public viewing for Daniel will be held at Boston's Mortuary, 4300 Statesville Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28269, on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, from 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, 1600 Norris Avenue, Charlotte, North Carolina 28206.  The Family visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and the funeral service will begin at 12:00PM. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery and Memorial Gardens 1504 W Sugar Creek Rd, Charlotte, NC 28262.

The Dockery Family have entrusted arrangements to Boston's Mortuary.
