Carolyn A. Douglas was born on March 16, 1954, in Clinton, NC, to the union of Florene and Richard Leach.  She had seven siblings, Bobbie, Peggie, Mildred, Willie, Charles, Joe, and Mack Ray.  Carolyn moved to New Haven, Connecticut with her oldest sister to help their mother.  Later, Carolyn and her sister relocated to New Jersey where she graduated from Pemberton High School.  While in New Jersey, Carolyn also met the love of her life, Robert L. Douglas, Sr.  They fell in love and were married on June 10, 1972.  Their marriage was blessed with six wonderful children, Anthoney, Dwight, James, Robert, Jr., Chennita, and Barry.  Carolyn was a loving mother to her kids.  She would give them her all including her 26 grandchildren and her 10 great-grandchildren.

After her children started grade school, Carolyn begin working as a nurse aide.  She wanted to contribute to her husband, to their household, and to the financial status of their family.  After becoming a nurse aide, she decided she wanted to further her abilities, so she enrolled and nursing school and obtained her L.P.N. degree.  Carolyn worked as a L.P.N. for about eight years, but her desire to learn more and do more motivated her to become a Registered Nurse.  Carolyn was proactive and she loved to study.  She was a disciplined and accomplished woman. Finally, Carolyn pursued her degree as a Nurse Practitioner and she was almost finished with her studies, THEN came the dreaded LUPUS! So, she was unable to finish.  Carolyn was in nursing for over 30 years.  Before her illness, she was the head supervisor of Girard Medical Center.  Also, St. Joseph Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.  Carolyn worked in all facets of Nursing: Hospitals, Prison, Drug and Alcohol Center, and Mental Health Field.

Also, Carolyn loved her God and Savior Jesus Christ/Yashua! She was a Deconess at her home church WOLCC in New Jersey.  She was head of the Young Women Ministry, Church Trustee, Food Pantry, and Feeding the Poor.  She was always willing to give even to a fault. Carolyn always wanted to please her God, but she was not perfect.  BUT WHO IS!  She will be missed and Never Forgotten.
