Cairo was a student at Metro School in the Charlotte Mecklenburg County School System. Cario’s teachers nicknamed him “Smiley”, because he always had a smile on his face when he came in the school building.  At school, Cairo was considered a celebrity because he always had on the freshest outfits.

Cairo accepted Christ as his savior and was a member of Mission Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. He enjoyed being around his family and listening to gospel music.  His grandmother would often sing “God Made Me Who I Am” to him, and that song quickly became one of his favorites.

Cairo was a music lover.  One of his favorite songs was Bob Marley’s “Everything is Going to be Alright.”  Cairo always had a cheerful spirit and a positive outlook on life.  His favorite saying was “I’m Good.” One of the best things about Cairo was his laughter. He enjoyed laughing, talking, and smiling, especially with his Aunt Toya.
