Ms. Adrienne Debra Lineberger Turner, 77, was born November 25, 1941, in Charlotte, NC, to the late James and Edna Lineberger. Adrienne departed this life on February 10, 2019.
Adrienne attended Charlotte-Mecklenburg County Schools and was a graduate of West Charlotte High School in 1958. She was a college graduate of North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC, Class of 1962, earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
She would later marry Mr. John W. Turner, Sr., on April 25, 1965. On November 3, 1966, they had their first child, a daughter, Angie. Then, on February 25, 1967, they had their second child, a son, John W. Turner, Jr.
Adrienne retired from Wachovia Bank after serving more than 10 years in a Lockbox position. She worked as a secretary for nearly 22 years for various doctors in the Charlotte area (Dr. C. W. Williams, Dr. K. H. Chambers, and Dr. Harold S. Pride). She also did notary work on the side.
Adrienne, a devout Christian, joined Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church in her early life. She attended several Catholic Churches over the years. However, she ultimately found spiritual fulfillment studying with Jehovah's Witnesses. She was baptized in the faith and continued to study diligently and attended the Kingdom Hall faithfully.
She leaves to cherish her sweet memory, her children, Andrienne (Angie) Turner and John (Wayne) Turner, Jr.; the love of John W. Turner, Sr.; 3 grandsons, Donald R. Colson, Jr., James A. Bennett (JAB), and Jayson M. Turner; one sister, Margo Ervin; three nieces; one nephew, a special friend for over 40 years, Ms. Thelma Cunningham. and a host of relatives and friends.
A public viewing for Ms. Turner will be held from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM on Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Boston's Mortuary 4300 Statesville Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28269.
A memorial service to celebrate Ms. Turner's life will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, February 17, 2019, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 8128 Harrisburg Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28215.
The Turner Family has entrusted her care to Boston's Mortuary.
