Cynthia Bullock, 64, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018.
Cynthia Bullock was born to Edward Bullock, Sr. and Arbella Osborne on July 27, 1953, at Lincoln Hospital, in the Bronx, New York; she was 1 of 11 siblings.
In 1978, Cynthia relocated from the Bronx, New York with her children, to Charlotte, North Carolina.
After studying for and receiving her GED, Cynthia attended and graduated from Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC), with an Associate degree in Computer Science.
Following graduation, she worked as a Registrar at Central Piedmont Community College. Next, Cynthia was employed by First Union Bank as a Data Entry Specialist, then S&ME, Inc. (an Engineering and Consulting firm). After securing her credentials and certification to care for clients with disabilities, Cynthia became employed with Developmental Disabilities Resources, Inc., as a Direct Support Professional.
Cynthia enjoyed traveling, cooking, singing, dancing, decorating, horror movies, and her beloved pets. She was a member of Progressive Baptist Church for many years before joining University Park Baptist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Bullock, Sr.; mother, Arbella “Lola” Osborne; two (2) brothers, Eddie Grubbs, Jr. and Andre Bullock; six (6) sisters, Betty Grubbs, Blanche “Shirley” Wright, Judy Patricia “Pat” Bullock, Laverne Bernadette “BB” Bullock, Alvenia Bush, and Charlene “Punkin” Bush.
Cynthia leaves to mourn her passing, two (2) sons, Curtis Bullock (New Jersey) and Damon L. Bullock (Charlotte, NC); two (2) daughters, Crystal Collier Bryant and Bianca Harris (Charlotte, NC); six (6) grandchildren, Nyosha T. Bryant, Malcolm E. Bryant, Ayana J. Bryant (all Charlotte, NC), Samir E. Bullock, Riley D. Bullock (both from Vineland, NJ), and Erin N. Harris (Charlotte, NC); and one great-grandson, Ayden K. Harris (Charlotte, NC); one sister, Chaplain Lavinia Abney-Crossland (NY, NY), and one brother, Dejuan Grubbs (Bronx, NY); as well as a HOST of nephews, nieces, and friends.
Cynthia is gone … but surely NOT FORGOTTEN.
A public viewing will take place on Saturday, March 10, 2018, from 3:00PM - 6:00PM, at Boston's Mortuary.
The funeral service for Ms. Bullock will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at 12:00PM, in the chapel at Boston's Mortuary, 4300 Statesville Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28269. Family visitation will commence between 11:30AM - 12:00PM.
